I think I can say when I farm with my friends and we go separate ways in PW maps to clear it faster, I'm pretty sure I miss 1-3 legendaries so it would be helpful if a legend dropped you put an orange circle on the mini map and a yellow circle if its a unique item. :)

Like you said, this happens because you split up. This game is supposed to be cooperative with players working together to kill mobs. Your recommendation discourages that. Then, people would team up for utility (faster farm), not because you want to assist each other. Ever since they introduced the colored drop system, if you were working together (the way the game intends for you to play), the giant orange or yellow spire sticking up into the sky makes it a dead giveaway.

    So, simple solution:
Don't split up trying to take advantage of the system and then be upset that the game isn't designed to make that easy. Instead, stick together.

I absolutely hate it when I get in a group where they do split up. Then I feel like I either have to run back and forth between the various players (trying to keep track of where the loot may have dropped). Or I have to go off and do my own thing (really defeating the purpose of a group).

I mostly solo these days. Primarily because it is nigh on impossible to find a group that understands the concept of teamwork. The idea of a group made up of strong members splitting up to clear a map faster is a classic example of this.

One of my favorite strategies with a strong group is staying together on on a route thru the map using a leapfrog tactic switching point. Even if a member gets past the visual of a drop the next time the point changes it is very easy to drop back far enough on the known route to see the last point a drop would be.

    Luck be with ye,

yeah but they encourage you splitting up by putting a load of achievements to complete maps in under a certain time.

That's possibly the only thing that needs splitting up to achieve; case in which, for best efficiency, everyone'd focus on the time, and ignore most drops (maybe only stop to click if a legendary or unique drops)... thus, it wouldn't be something that has to do with this thread's idea.

My opinion is that the map shouldn't be cluttered with all kinds of additional markers. For the same reason as that one thought I once saw that asked for additional UI bars on the sides or whatever: visibility and unnecessary "baggage" that could just increase the lag chances.

If we want to talk markers, one thing I would like is markers for the Materi Fissures that open up when you click the red podium. Sure, in Q1, they are rather easy to get all of, but in some maps, you are lucky to find two.

this Is not about what the poster suggested, BUT its the same topic..

My suggestion would be to Add markers on the maps of the players that have fallen in battle . a player may have died in the middle of the map and you have no idea where he is laying (cant ask him ) . Grimm yes easy to find someone , but lets say grotto or caves. The map is bigger and would be nice to have a marker on the map where they are laying dead.

I agree with the Materi frags portals as well that has my vote.

As for the main suggestion , I have to agree with Baragain.

    Happy slayings!

Well, if you agree with the idea of splitting up = silly, then there shouldn't be many cases of "where did that guy die, again?", but I can see where the idea came from - it does occur at times when, for example, a group has to do a lot of random running around (happened to me when a DK-less group went to battle Heredur... we won, but it was quite the effort of running, dodging the "homing" ice blasts and archers while still bringing the boss' HP down). Maybe this could be solved by something similar with the death aura of one of the PvP talents, just that it would occur in PvE automatically upon death and have no other effect/cost.
