Well, thanks to Facebook "Your Memories" feature... today, 4 years ago, I posted a pic of my character... becoming Level 40. It was my first level 40... now, he is a Level 48, because I have another 5 chars I play more often with at Level 50... but he is still my best DK...

Anyway... just reminiscing... the good old days before Ashraya and 6v6s, when we still knew most of the people here...

I'm in the same boat... So many names in my buddy list are nothing more than a monument to some exceptional players that have since gotten fed up with BPs crap. I remember one in particular... He was the DK who taught me how to be a tank about 4 years ago, but he unfortunately quit about 3 years ago. So many have come and gone yet we patient few remain.

 

Time is running fast eh? XD

 

And it gets going faster as long as it runs.......sad; because the faster time goes our bodies slow down.

 

Yeah ... back it those days, game was actually fun ... unlike now heavy grind for everything ... more and more dull.

 

I'm sorry, I don't follow. Remember the times you had to farm CoT for hours just to ID one crappy legendary item? the times your only option to farm GoP was to farm HoD? or maybe the super long events which took a lot more time to finish than the events now?
I feel that the grinding aspect at least has gone down over the years.

 

but remember ... we were farming CoT to open items which had pretty good stats (compared to now ... even the stats are now increased).
And now we need to farm for years and probably never get even average stats on item .
That means the grinding is increased by +10000%

 

Ok yes, The stats on items did get crappier with the addition of all the different enchantments to items. But you also get a lot more legendary items than before, which I believe is worth it because you get a lot more GoP from all that useless legendaries. And also, lets not forget about Crafting 2.0 that is coming soon (hopefully) which opens the path to all new possibilities.

 

Indeed... lets see what it holds for us. It has the potential to be the most game changing feature in over a year. Saving up tons of gold and good items in the search for the ultimate weapons and other gear.

 

Grind aspect has gone up, not down. As the level increases more and more GoP is gonna be needed and more and more grind. HoD is still my favorite map but BP killed it with 5 Knights not having any chanse of dropping legendary item. So the game is getting more dull with grind and some bad changes. Eventually players will get bored and very unhappy and game will end, lots of players already left.

 

Are you sure that this isn't bad luck, or do you have some sort of documentation about this. I don't remember seeing anything to this effect in patch notes.

 

I have gotten legendaries from the knights in HoD, but it seems way lower than regular mini bosses in PW, and the drop rate is lower pre-new parallel rework.

 

So, it is a case of "Curse of the PRNG," which is to be expected from BP.
